Description

Built between 1060 and 1100 CE by Chandela ruler Kirtivarman, Kirat Sagar Lake is one of Mahoba’s oldest and most picturesque heritage lakes. Once the lifeline of the ancient city, it reflects the grandeur of medieval Bundelkhand through its stone ghats, shrines, and tranquil surroundings. Even today, this scenic Chandela-era reservoir offers visitors a peaceful escape where history, nature, and architecture beautifully come together.
